Lindner Center of HOPE, Chief Operating Officer
Owens has worked in the field of mental health since 1985, working in hospitals since 1984 and in management or administrative roles since 1987. Owens has served on the Center’s founding team since 2005. In his role at the Lindner Center of HOPE, Owens oversaw the planning, design, development, and construction of the facility.
Currently, he oversees Food and Nutrition, Plant Operations and Maintenance, Groundskeeping, Safety, Security, Environmental Services, Laundry, Construction, Biomedical Equipment, Pharmacy, Lab, Transportation, Supply Chain, Mailroom, Brain Imaging Center, Green Team, Disaster Preparedness, Protective Services, Environment of Care, Space Programming, Intake Center, Utilization Review, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Spiritual Care and the Welcome Center.
Most recently Owens served as Vice President of the Behavioral Health Service Line for the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati, where he led continual improvements in patient satisfaction, quality, finances and market share during his tenure. He also has been in private practices as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) at Northern Kentucky Psychiatry Associates and Life Way Counseling Centers.
Among some awards Owens has received are the Dr. Howard Fabing Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Nursing, The Customer Service Superstar Award, The Above and Beyond Award, the Most Experienced Person Award, the Ray of Hope Award and the National Alliance on Mental Illness’ (NAMI) Mental Health Champion plaque.
Owens is a member of the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems (NAPHS) Board of Trustees and a Board of Trustee member of the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA). He is also a member of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Nursing, Sterling’s Who’s Who (Executive Edition), Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, International Who’s Who and Strathmore’s Who’s Who. He is also a member of the American College of Mental Health Administration, Young Business Leaders, the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems and American College of Healthcare Executives.
