Carol Blankemeyer DeWald, M.S.N., PMHCNS-BC

Ms. DeWald has 17 years experience as an advanced practice nurse with specialty in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing.  Her practice has focused on older adult mental health since 1989.  Ms. DeWald is credentialed by the Ohio Board of Nursing as an advanced practice nurse with prescriptive authority.  Her clinical expertise is psychiatric assessment, therapy (individual and group) and medication prescription / management for older adults.  She has extensive experience working as a clinical specialist and therapist in inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient services. 

Prior to joining the Lindner Center of Hope, Ms. DeWald was associated with the Deaconess Hospital Older Adult Mental Health Program.  During her 15 years at Deaconess, she served the older adult population as a clinical specialist and therapist in a partial hospitalization program, on the Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit and over the last eight years in the Older Adult Mental Health Outpatient Service in collaboration with Dr. Michael Keys.
