As CNO, she will be responsible for nursing practices and patient care at the Lindner Center of HOPE.

Prior to her new appointment, Ms. Adams served as vice president of patient care services/nurse executive at Rogers Memorial Hospital, a multi-hospital psychiatric provider in southeastern Wisconsin. In that position, she managed patient care across multiple hospitals and levels of care and oversaw nursing practices across the organization. She also established a patient-centered strategic plan and patient care vision. In other previous positions, she gained experience as a clinical nursing director, a manager of inpatient psychiatry and as a staff nurse at several large not-for-profit hospitals in the Midwest.

Ms. Adams recently served on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Executives, from which she was nominated for Nurse Leader of the Year in 2004. She also is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She has served on the Disaster Mental Health Task Force of Milwaukee County and on the advisory board for the nursing programs at Bryant and Stratton College. She also taught at the University of Phoenix-Milwaukee campus. She also volunteers as a board member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Warren County Ohio.
