Richard M. Rutz, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Lindner Center of HOPE, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Mr. Rutz has more than 14 years experience providing acute psychiatric care to patients of all ages in seven different behavioral health systems. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner for the Lindner Center of HOPE, Mr. Rutz will primarily work with patients suffering with eating disorders.
Prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE, he served as Clinical Nurse Manager/Nurse Practitioner for Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center in Dayton, Ohio. His responsibilities included managing a twenty patient partial hospitalization program and outpatient program, providing direct care to outpatients for medication management, individual and family psychotherapy, and managing a 30 bed acute care adolescent unit and fifteen bed child unit. Prior to his role at Kettering Behavioral, Mr. Rutz was Manager of Psychiatric Services at Mercy Hospital Mount Airy in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was responsible for a 39-bed acute care child/adolescent unit, the intake team and programming.
In addition to his acute psychiatric care experience, Mr. Rutz has also served as an adjunct clinical psychiatric instructor for the nursing program at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
Mr. Rutz is a member of American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
