Lindner Center of HOPE, Chief Operating Officer
Owens has worked in the field of mental health since 1985, working in hospitals since 1984 and in management or administrative roles since 1987. Owens has served on the Center’s founding team since 2005. In his role at the Lindner Center of HOPE, Owens is overseeing the planning, design, development, construction, coordination and eventual operations of the facility.
Most recently Owens served as Vice President of the Behavioral Health Service Line for the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati, where he led continual improvements in patient satisfaction, quality, finances and market share during his tenure. He also has been in private practices as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) at Northern Kentucky Psychiatry Associates and Life Way Counseling Centers.
Among some awards Owens has received are the Dr. Howard Fabing Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Nursing, The Customer Service Superstar Award, The Above and Beyond Award, the Most Experienced Person Award, the Ray of Hope Award and the National Alliance on Mental Illness’ (NAMI) Mental Health Champion plaque.
He is also a member of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Nursing, Sterling’s Who’s Who (Executive Edition), Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, International Who’s Who and Strathmore’s Who’s Who. He is also a member of Young Business Leaders, the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems and American College of Healthcare Executives.
Owens currently volunteers for various organizations including his church and as a member of the Board of Trustees for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Hamilton County Ohio. He also has performed consulting, teaching and public speaking on mental health topics.
