Inpatient Services

At the Lindner Center of HOPE, short-term, inpatient services include treatment for adolescents, adults, and senior adults.

Adults
The Adult Inpatient unit of the Lindner Center of HOPE provides diagnosis and treatment for persons with mental illness. This unit treats persons ages 18 to 64. The 16-bed unit is comprised of two eight-bed sections. This model allows for flexibility in programming. The foundation of the Adult Inpatient unit is formed from the concepts of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), in a structured therapeutic community. The unit is limited in its capacity to meet the needs of persons who have concurrent medical treatment needs.

Adolescents
The Adolescent unit at the Lindner Center of HOPE provides comfortable, comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for adolescents with psychiatric illnesses. The 16-bed unit treats adolescents between the ages of 13 to 18 years of age (and still attending high school.)  The first foundation of the Adolescent Unit is the comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. This generates a very individualized and tailored treatment plan that serves to meet the specific needs of the patient. The second foundation of the Adolescent unit is the integration of the concepts of cognitive-based, psychodynamic, psychopharmacological treatments. These treatments have their foundation in evidence-based best practices and will serve as the framework for the patient’s treatment plan.  Patients in the Adolescent unit at the Lindner Center of HOPE participate in daily, scheduled activities, intended to encourage.

Senior Adults
The Senior Adult unit will specialize in the treatment of seniors with mood disorders as well as making the appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations for patients presenting in the early to middle stages of cognitive decline.  Helping patients and their families learn how to cope with dependence while maximizing functional abilities is a key therapeutic component of this program.
