Anxiety Disorders
The Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Anxiety Disorders Treatment Program at Lindner Center of HOPE is poised to provide world-class evidence-based care that will help make many people’s lives more meaningful and satisfying. This program will emerge as the standard of excellent care for OCD and anxiety disorder treatment in the region.
The metropolitan Cincinnati region currently lacks mental health services for the estimated 20,000 to 60,000 local adults and adolescents battling OCD and other anxiety disorders. Outpatient services are spread out among clinicians in private practices, while intensive inpatient treatment is non-existent in the local inpatient psychiatric facilities. The OCD and Anxiety Disorder Program at Lindner Center of HOPE will increase significantly the availability and quality of mental health care sufferers of anxiety disorders in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Returning Control to Patients and Families
Treatment programs at Lindner Center of HOPE aim to return control of the treatment to the patient and family. The clinical staff of the OCD and Anxiety Disorder Program encourages the inclusion of family members in the assessment and treatment phases of the patients’ clinical care. This emphasis is vital as OCD, and other mental illnesses, typically “draw in” the family members and greatly impact their lives. Additionally, the Lindner Center of HOPE will provide psychiatric rehabilitation programming such as Family Support and Education services, which involve either multi-family or single family groups, further accelerating the recovery of OCD and anxiety sufferers.
With an emphasis on improving lives, the Lindner Center of HOPE’s OCD and Anxiety Disorder Program will use evidence based practices to help patients achieve life goals.
