Lindner Center of HOPE, Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Kassar is an experienced psychiatrist, physician and researcher. She is also trained in providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE, Dr. Kassar served as resident physician for Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati, The University Hospital, Department of Psychiatry. Her additional experience includes serving as part-time staff psychiatrist for Crossroads in Cincinnati, Ohio; staff physician at Summit Behavioral Healthcare in Cincinnati, Ohio; and serving patients through her private practice.
Dr. Kassar’s research experience includes serving as a research assistant for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, pediatric Radiology. During this time she developed an x-ray teaching program for future medical students. Dr. Kassar has also written and published in the University of Cincinnati Journal.
As a volunteer, Dr. Kassar has taught medical students, served on committees, authored a substance abuse manual for residents during their VA rotation and created the University of Cincinnati Hospital psychiatric consultation form. She was co-president of the residency class in 2004-2005 and Inpatient Chief Resident in 2005-2006.
