Bipolar CHOICE Study
Do you have Bipolar Disorder?
Do you feel so full of energy that you aren’t your usual self?
Other symptoms you may experience are:
- Difficulty sleeping? - Racing thoughts? - Trouble concentrating?
- Irritability? - Depression or sadness? - Physically restless?
- Impulsive behavior? - Talking too much?
We are currently looking for participants, men and women ages 18-68, to participate in a clinical research study comparing two medications that are approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of Bipolar Disorder.
Qualified participants will receive all study-related care at no cost. Compensation for time and travel is provided.

Bipolar Biobank for Genetic Research
Requirements include:
• Diagnosed with Bipolar I or II Disorder
• 18 and 80 years of age,

Bipolar Type 2 Depression Study
Participants may experience some or all of these problems:
• Diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2
• Struggling with depression
• Loss of interest or low energy
• Sleeping problems or change in appetite
• Feelings of worthlessness
• Age 18 - 65 years of age
Qualified participants will receive free investigational medication, doctor visits and financial compensation.

Bipolar Depression Study while on a Mood Stabilizer
Requirements include:
• Diagnosed with bipolar type 1 or 2 disorder
• Taking a mood stabilizer*
• Age 18 - 65 years of age
Qualified participants will receive free investigational medication, doctor visits and financial compensation.

*The class of medications know as mood stabilizers include: Carbamezepine (Tegretol), Valproate (Depakote), Lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid), Lamotrigine (Lamictal), Quetiapine (Seroquel), Olanzapine (Zyprexa), Aripiprazole (Abilify), Ziprasidone (Geodon) and Risperidone (Risperdal).
