Current Research Studies

Most of our studies provide some compensation for your time and travel expenses. Current studies are:

Bipolar Disorder

Depression

Eating Disorders
         
Bipolar Disorder Studies
Bipolar Biobank for Genetic Research
Requirements include:
• Diagnosed with Bipolar 1 Disorder
• 18 and 80 years of age,
There is a one-time interview and blood donation required. Read more about it, click here.

Bipolar Type 2 Depression Study

Participants may experience some or all of these problems:
• Diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2
• Struggling with depression
• Loss of interest or low energy
 • Sleeping problems or change in appetite
 • Feelings of worthlessness
• Age 18 - 65 years of age
Qualified participants will receive free investigational medication, doctor visits and financial compensation.

Bipolar Depression Study while on a Mood Stabilizer

Requirements include:
• Diagnosed with bipolar type 1 or 2 disorder
• Taking a mood stabilizer*
• Age 18 - 55 years of age
Qualified participants will receive free investigational medication, doctor visits and financial compensation.

*The class of medications know as mood stabilizers include:  Carbamezepine (Tegretol), Valproate (Depakote), Lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid), Lamotrigine (Lamictal), Quetiapine (Seroquel), Olanzapine (Zyprexa), Aripiprazole (Abilify), Ziprasidone (Geodon) and Risperidone (Risperdal).
