OCD-Midwest is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and is the local affiliate of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (
http://www.ocfoundation.org/). This organization is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of children and adults suffering from OCD and related anxiety disorders. One in forty adults and one in 200 children will be diagnosed with OCD. Although it is one of the most common mental disorders, OCD is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Many suffer needlessly in silence.
Our local efforts will help our community:
- Raise awareness and understanding of OCD.
- Improve access to specialized treatment, ERP, and quality of care.
- Organize additional resources such as caregiver and parent workshops to support families.
AN EVENT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY THAT WILL INCLUDE A PING PONG TOURNAMENT, SPONSORED BY THE CINCINNATI TABLE TENNIS CLUB, A RAFFLE, KIDS ACTIVITIES AND GAMES, FOOD, PRIZES AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES.
